Immigration officer stationed at Kamuzu International Airport is in police cell in Lilongwe for allegedly issuing fake work permits to foreign nationals.
Spokesperson for the Immigration Department Joseph Chauwa confirmed the arrest of Henry Kwanjana in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).
According to Chauwa, the arrest of Kwanjana follows an arrest of some foreign nationals in Blantyre who named him as the main man behind the scam.
Kwanjana works for the Immigration at Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe and is son to David Kwanjana, the central region boss for the Immigration Department.
