Farmers Union of Malawi (FUM) has blamed government over lack of interest to establish fish feed manufacturing company and training farmers on the production of local fish feed despite the country having the capacity and potential to do so.
FUM’s President Alfred Kapichira Banda told the Press, that most farmers are failing to sustain and progress in aquaculture due to lack of knowledge on the production fish feed, which is currently being imported and sold at higher prices.
