Ekaterina is originally from the city of Kharkiv in north-eastern Ukraine and now lives in the United States.
Reports state she has decided to sell her virginity for 100,000 EUR (about R1,6 million).
She posted a video for potential buyers saying, “Hello, my name is Katia. I’m originally from Ukraine but I now live in the United States.
“I can speak English, Ukrainian and some Russian. The reason that I want to sell my virginity is because I would like to travel, experience luxury and live my life and be happy. At the end of the day, this is my body, this is my choice and this is what I have decided to do.”
The 19-year-old has posted several pictures showing potential buyers what she would look like in underwear. The Ukrainian has said that one day she hopes to marry a man who will be able to spend 10,000 EUR (about R160 000) on her per month.
It is unclear if Ekaterina has received any offers from her post.
However, a quick online search confirms that virginity auctions are common online and many young people seem to be making themselves available for sale on such platforms.
