ACB to Hold Press Briefing to Give Update on Judges Bribery Attempt Case

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) this afternoon is expected to hold  a press briefing this  in Lilongwe to an update on the Judges Bribery attempt case.

In the press statement made available to Face of Malawi reporter, Director General for he bureau Reyneck Matemba is expected to brief the media on actions being taken on the complaint filed by chief Justice Andrew Nyirenda.

“The Director General Mr. Reyneck Matemba, to update members of the media on action being taken on the complaint regarding allegations on an attempt to bribe the constitutional court judges who are hearing the May 21, 2019 presidential election case” reads part of the statement.

Despite having wrong date (January 14, 2018, 2019) the statement has communicated that the briefing is expected to take place at 15 hours today, at ACB conference room.

Justice Nyirenda lodged a complaint that some well known people had tried to bribe five judges hearing the historic May 21 presidential election case.
