United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Chief Technical Advisor, Richard Cox, has urged all election stakeholders to draw lessons from the 2019 nullified election and make sure that such an occurrence never repeats itself in the future.

He says the events after the 2019 elections were a threat to national unity and must be avoided.

Cox has made the remarks at the National Elections Consultative Forum (Necof) currently underway in Lilongwe.

According to Chifundo Kachale, Chairperson of Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC), the meeting is aimed at reviewing meeting of the Fresh Presidential Election held on June 23 this year.

The review meeting has involved every stakeholder in the polls.
