MPC bus involved in road accident, two passengers injured

One of the newly procured buses from Malawi Post Corporation (MPC) has been involved in road accident at Senzani in Ntcheu.

This is the second Bus for MPC to be involved in road accident since the buses started operating on the country’s roads.

Management of MPC has confirmed of the accident in a statement made available to Faceofmalawi reporter.

According to the statement, the bus was in its way to Lilongwe from Blantyre.

“We would like to inform the general public of an accident that has occurred at Senzani on the evening of 19 January 2020. The accident involved the post bus travelling from Blantyre to Lilongwe.

“Please be informed that no fatalities were recorded,” reads part of the statement.

Added the statement: “However, two women were being treated at Phalula Health Centre for minor injuries.”

Meanwhile the cause of the accident is yet to be established.
