Carlsberg Malawi faults cosumers on drinks and alcoholic beverages shortage

Carlsberg Malawi has attributed the shortage of drinks and alcoholic beverages the country is currently facing to failure by consumers to return bottles after use.

Chief Executive Officer for Carlsberg Malawi Mr Abel Chanje said consumers are still not returning the bottles after use a development he said has affected the company especially during this summer when the demand is high.

However Mr Chanje was quick to say that the company has invested in 4 million new bottles as a short term solution to ease the problem and assured the nation that the situation would be normalised soon.

Last year shortage of soft drinks hit the country in all the major cities due to forex shortage where consumers were spending hours quing for the commodity.
