A 19 year old girl in Thyolo, Lydia Makungwa, has committed suicide by taking an overdose of assorted medicines after her parents kept blaming her for the rape she experienced that it was her own fault as she is fond of wearing mini-skirts and tight pants.
Reports indicate the young girl was raped 2 weeks ago by 4 men as she was coming from a wedding. Instead of consoling her, her parents have been blaming her that she deserved the rape because her way of dressing invited it.
In a suicide note the young girl has left, she has blamed her parents over her death and wished them well
