The University of Malawi is pleased to announce that its Congregation for the 2010/2011 Academic Year for the Faculty of Education students and the 2011/2012 Academic Year Polytechnic, College of Medicine and Kamuzu College of Nursing students will be held on Wednesday 25th September, 2013 in the Auditorium at the Bingu International Conference Centre, Lilongwe starting from 8.00 a.m.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Malawi, Dr Emmanuel Fabiano shall preside over the Congregation.

Rehearsals for the Congregation will be held on Tuesday, 24th September, 2013 starting from 8.30 a.m. in the Auditorium at the Bingu International Conference Centre, Lilongwe. Graduating students are asked to be punctual and only those who will attend the rehearsal ceremony shall be allowed to graduate.
Academic Dress for the Congregation shall be available for hire from Monday, 16th September, 2013 from candidates’ respective colleges or at the venue of the Congregation on Monday, 23rd September, 2013. The hire charges are as follows:
Diploma/Certificates K1, 500
Bachelor’s set K3, 000
Master’s set K4, 500
PhD Set K7, 500
All candidates must return their academic dress at the end of the function. Unreturned academic dress will attract a penalty fee of K5, 000 for the first day delay. Each subsequent day after the first day shall attract a penalty fee of K200 payable before the release of the certificate.
CANDIDATES WITH COLLEGE DEBTS
Candidates who owe their colleges money should settle the amounts by 16th September, 2013 otherwise; they will not be allowed to graduate.
Candidates who require photography services will be informed about the details of the accredited photographers during rehearsals.

The University further wishes to inform the general public that the other congregations for the 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 academic years shall be held on 23rd October, 2013 and 20th November, 2013. Details of these congregations shall be released in due course.
