Court denies Mphwiyo ‘shooters’ bail

Date:

Two men arrested in connection to the shooting of Paul Mphwiyo, MacDonald Kumwemba and Robert Kadzuwa, have been denied bail by the Lilongwe Magistrates Court.

The court has denied the bail on the grounds that investigations are still on going and the life of the victim is still in an unpredictable condition.

This is the first time that the name of those detained has come to public after police had earlier refused to disclose the details of the men arrested in connection to the shooting.

The court has so far sentenced the two to 30 days on remand.
