Death forces President Banda to stay in office

The two deaths of Mr. Kizito Ngwembe and musician Geoffrey Zigoma who died in South Africa and India respectively have forced State President Joyce Banda to cancel her tours around the country indefinitely.

According to a statement from the State house, the President had thought it wise to cancel her rallies until such a time that all the funeral procedures shall have been announced and apparently burial ceremonies conducted.

The body of fallen musician Geoffrey Zigoma, meanwhile, arrives in the country today on an Ethiopian airlines flight.

Mr. Ngwembe who was once a member of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) was the Provincial Chair of President Banda’s Peoples’ Party in the Central Region at the time of his death. It is yet to be announced when his body will arrive into the country.
