Eunice Kazembe who survived the cabinet reshuffle by President Banda has died, government and Peoples’ Party officials have confirmed.
According to information sourced, late Ms. Kazembe who was appointed as a minister for the just established Ministry of Good governance that came under criticism from some quarters as having not deserved an entire ministry, has died at a South African hospital in the early hours of today, Monday.
It has been said that the Minister has died after a long illness as she was appointed while on her sick bed.
Three weeks ago, President Banda visited the Minister at the hospital in South Africa on her way from the US where she went to attend the UN General Assembly.
Government has announced that funeral arrangements for the departed minister will be announced in due course.
