Lives of patients in Nsanje are at risk following a sit in by medical personnel and other supporting staff at the district hospital.
The health workers are demanding payment of their outstanding allowances dating back from December last year, accord to a source within the staff.
They say they wrote Nsanje district health office to have their concern addressed by Friday last week, but no tangible action has been taken forcing them to down tools.
There was no immediate comment from health authorities on the recent development.
