Research Tech Consultant  (RTC) has failed to clarify to Malawians on how  it conducted the opinion poll released recently.

According to the poll, President Banda topped with 42 percent followed by MCP’s Lazarus Chakwera with 23 percent and DPP’s Peter Mutharika with 22 percent. UDF’s Atupele Muluzi  came fourth best with 10 percent.

The poll had a sample of 3883.

In his speech (RTC) leads Consultant Thomas Odala, defending the poll said:

“We are an international body that has been involved in Indian elections before and very soon we will be going to Mozambique to conduct another poll ahead of their elections there”.

When approached for  comment, political analyst Augustine Magolowondo said Malawians should treat opinion polls related to May 20 election results with care as they have the possibility of creating a false impression.
