  • 22 May 2014: Dr Joyce Hilda Banda conducts a press conference with allegations that the Malawi election has been rigged. Dr Banda says her party has evidence that the Malawi election has been rigged and this has been submitted to the Malawi Electoral Commission (Mec). Amai Joyce Banda also read out Godfrey Kamanya’s suicide note in which he alleged DPP people Mayi Makuta and close Mutharika associate, Ben Phiri threatened to take his life.
