As vote counting is in progress, unofficial results from 21 centres in Mzuzu shows that the ruling People’s Party(PP) Presidential torchbearer Dr Joyce Banda is leading by 17848.
Banda is followed by Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Presidential torchbearer Dr Lazarus Chakwera with 10574, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Presidential torchbearer Peter Mutharika is third with about 5420.
Mzuzu city is having about 37 centres.
Meanwhile this is not the case with the south and Central region where the title race is between MCP president and DPP President.
