Airtel Malawi holds ‘Thank You Party’ to customer at Silver Stadium

While other telecom companies and their dealers traditionally forget about their customers as soon as they drive away in new cars, Airtel Malawi has made a bond with their customers, one that its competitors are struggling to imitate.

“They treat the customer like a friend, they treat the customer intelligently,” said Justin Kaunda, a student at Lilongwe Technical College. “That was a real breakthrough in the telecommunications industry — which is bizarre.”

In a drive to thank their customers, Airtel Malawi’s “Thank You Party” was one way of showing gratitude to customers. The drive was launched through their official Facebook page and Twitter account, where customers were asked to submit their contact details and later get an invitation to the party. Among other performances at the party were, Organized Family from Zambia, Wendy Harawa, Gwamba and Piksy, who is also Airtel Malawi’s brand ambassador

This was also an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between Airtel and its. Above all, the party has connected customers, dealers and Airtel in one “big Airtel family”.

“Welcome to Airtel family in Lilongwe. Feel free and enjoy the party and we believe you can be very much proud of being an Airtel customer”, said Sibusiso Nyasulu, Airtel Malawi’s Customer Service Director.

She continued by saying, “the Thank You Party has been held thoughtfully and brought a small joy to customers. Not only by supplying Airtel products and service but also offering pleasure and satisfaction to customers is Airtel’s target, and we are planning on doing the same in Blantyre, Zomba and Mzuzu and probably hold a National Thank You party which will bring our customers from all walks of life and party as one ‘Big Family’

And speaking to our reporter, a customer commended Airtel Malawi saying ‘business is art but there is nothing nicer than sincerity; and practical action is more valuable than any word. Lilongwe is a bit cold and windy at the moment but my heart is warming, all thanks to you”

Airtel Malawi has rolled out 150 more 3G sites countrywide and they has also just opened new shops in Mzuzu, Lilongwe City Mall and are yet to open more shops countrywide to allow their customers to have access to Airtel Products and Services more efficiently and get top class customer support.
