President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika will return home on Tuesday from Zimbabwe where he attended the 34th Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Heads of State and Government.

Office of the President and Cabinet through its Press Secretary has confirmed of the development in a press statement issued on Monday.

During the summit, President Mutharika presented a report, as outgoing SADC Chairperson, on the activities undertaken by SADC during the period under review as well as handed over the SADC Chairmanship to his Zimbabwean counterpart President Robert Mugabe.

According to the statement, the carrying the President is expected to touch down at Kamuzu International Airport at 10 am.

This is the second International trip for President Mutharika since he assumed the high office on May 20.
