G4S has for the third consecutive year achieved the prestigious Top Employers Africa 2015 certification and the company remains the only private security company in Africa to ever earn that rating.
According to G4S Malawi human resources director, Nargis Khan, said on Wednesday the company is thrilled to receive the Top Employer accreditation again this year.
“We recognise the importance of solid best people practices that support our corporate values and create a safe environment where our employees feel valued, are given opportunities to grow and in turn shape a brighter and sustainable future for all,” said Khan, whose company employ 9,000 people in the country.
The certification follows independent research done by the Top Employers Institute, said the institute in a statement on Wednesday.
Top Employers Institute says G4S has been awarded the certification for offering its workers “an engaging, safe working environment where their contribution is valued”.
At G4S, Top Employers Institute assessed its people practices on talent strategy, workforce planning, on-boarding, learning and development, performance management, leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits as well as culture.
Top Employers Institute director of international, Judith Oude Sogtoen, said the research concluded that G4S forms part of a select group of employers that advance employee conditions worldwide.
