MAN NABBED IN THYOLO FOR STABBING HIS WIFE TO DEATH

Police in Thyolo have arrested a man identified as Charles Lita for allegedly stabbing his wife to death.

Thyolo Police spokesperson Edith Kachosa confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the Privately owned radio [ZBS].

According to Kachotsa, Lita, 31 and his wife identified as Margret Mchere were on separation due to family disagreement.

Kachosa said on 30th October 2014, Lita went to his wife home to plead for reunion and his wife asked for more time.

She further said in the evening the husband went back to his wife home where the two started quarreling and the hus stabbed her wife on the chest.

Mchere was pronounced dead upon arrival at Thyolo district hospital.

Postmortem results showed that Mchere died due to excessive loss of blood.

Meanwhile Lita will appear in court soon to answer murder charges.
