President Professor Arthur Mutharika will be installed as Chancellor of the University of Malawi on Wednesday at ceremony to be held at Chancellor College in Zomba.

This has been disclosed in a Press Statement from the Office of the President and cabinet (OPC) signed by Presidential Press Secretary Fredrick Ndala Jnr.

According to the statement, thereafter, President Mutharika will proceed to preside over the 60th congregation of University of Malawi and award degrees and postgraduate diplomas to 397 graduates of the University, 231 (59 percent) of whom are male and 166 (41 percent) are female graduates.

Mutharika is expected to arrive at Chancellor College at 8:00 am.
