WOMAN NABBED FOR CHOPPING OFF HER HUSBAND’s LIP

A 35 year-old Woman is in Police custody in Nkhotakota for unlawfully wounding her husband at Kamange II village in the district.

Nkhotakota Police confirmed of the arrest in an interview with the Press and identified the suspect as Patricia Kalewa.

The victim Mr. C. G. Kalewa 44 years old of Kaphaizi village, traditional authority Lukwa in
Kasungu district, on the 22nd November, 2014 at around 1900hrs quarreled with his
wife on family issues.

The quarrel resulted into fight which led to loss of lower lip of the husband after being bitten by the suspect.

Later on, the victim rushed to report the matter to police where he was referred to Nkhotakota district hospital for medication.

The suspect was arrested at the same day and will appear before court to answer charge of unlawful wounding when court resumes.

Kalewa hails from Kamange II village in the area of senior chief Malengachanzi in Nkhotakota district.
