Death has been announced of United Democratic Front (UDF) National Executive Member Sheikh Abdul Kalisinje.
Sheikh Kalisinje died on Tuesday night at Seventh Day Adventist Hospital in the commercial capital Blantyre.
UDF Spokesperson Ken Ndanga confirmed of the development in an interview, saying the party is deeply shocked with the untimely death of Sheikh Kalisinje.
Ndanga said the Party has lost an icon who tried to work between the pillars of the party.
Meanwhile burial ceremony of late Kalisinje is underway at Liwonde in Machinga district.
