LUTEPO’s ASSETS MADE PUBLIC

Information reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that cashgate convict Oswald Lutepo has declared his assets to the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.

The development comes barely weeks after Lutepo Pleaded guilty to theft and laundering money amounting to MK4.2 billion before Zomba High Court Judge Redson Kapindu.

Minister of Justice Spokesperson Apoche Itimu confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the local daily papers in the country [Daily Times].

Lutepo’s lawyer Oswald Mtupila also confirmed of the development in an interview.

“We submitted the document during working hours on Thursday,” Mtupila was quoted as saying in the Daily Times.

Lutepo is currently in Police custody following the bail revocation by Justice Kapindu waiting for his sentencing this month end.
