Opposition Malawi Congress Party Director of Campaign Felix Jumbe has dismissed reports that he is joining the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

The development comes amid reports that a car belonging to one of his Companies Peacock seeds was spotted ferrying DPP supporters to a rally in Mzimba district.

Speaking in an interview with one of the privately owned media house on Monday, Jumbe described the rumors that he is joining DPP as fabrications by a team within the party assigned to get him out.

When questioned about the car that was spotted ferrying DPP supporters in Mzimba, Jumbe said belongs to an agro dealer.

Effort to talk to MCP’s Publicity Secretary Jessie Kabwila proved futile as her mobile phone was not available.
