TWO SOUTH AFRICAN BUSES DETAINED IN KASUNGU

Police in the Central District of Kasungu have detained two South Africa buses for allegedly contravening with what they called Road Service Permit.

National Police Public Relations Officer Rhoda Manjolo confirmed of the development in an interview with the Press, saying the two buses who were heading to Mzimba were detained at Bua Roadblock around 23:45pm and 00:20am.

According to Manjolo, the two buses had passengers on board.

Manjolo said Police detained the two buses contravened regional agreement which states that buses from outside the country are supposed to be destined for Blantyre and Lilongwe and not to go to other routes.

The development means the two buses have to pay a fine.
