TWO SOCHE TECHNICAL COLLEGE STUDENTS ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREARM

Police in Blantyre are keeping in custody two Soche Technical College students for allegedly being in possession of a firearm without proper documents.

The two were arrested on Friday night in Limbe Market during a Police patrol exercise.

Police Publicist Peter Mchiza confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the suspects as Timothy Malomba, 28 and Joseph Kalamula.

When questioned how they got the pistol, the two failed to give the police convincing information.

Mchiza also disclosed that they arrested two people for being in possession of forex without supporting documents.

Malomba hails from Chiwopya village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Nkhumba in Phalombe while Kalamula hails from Ngwenya village in Blantyre.
