MUTHARIKA TO ADDRESS THE WORLD ON THE NEED FOR HEALTH INVESTMENT TODAY

President Professor Peter Mutharika is today November 25, 2015 expected to give a key note address at the Common Wealth Business Forum on the need for the global world to invest in Malawi’s Health Sector.

According to the Chairperson of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council Jonathan Marland, the Malawi leader will address the world at a session on Business of Health: Improving Access and Outcomes.

Malta is hosting the Commonwealth Business Forum for the second as part of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). With the theme for CHOGM being “The Commonwealth – Adding Global Value”, strengthening trade and investment is a key area where the Commonwealth can add value.

The Commonwealth Business Forum is the opportunity to bring stakeholders together from business and Government from 53 Commonwealth countries. Apart from healthcare, the forum focuses on issues and areas that are relevant to all countries including infrastructure, financial services, technology, tourism and sustainability. It provides an extraordinary opportunity for businesses from across the Commonwealth to meet and network.

Apart from President Mutharika, other Speakers at the Forum will be the Prime Minister of Malta Dr Joseph Muscat and the Prime Minister of Lesotho Pakalitha Mosisili.
