A third grade magistrate in the northern district of Mzimba is in police custody for allegedly caressing woman’s private parts without her consent.
Mzimba Police spokesperson Lingstone Kanjaudzu confirmed of the arrest and identified the suspect as Tobias Sibale, a third magistrate at Uncisweni court in the district.
According to Kanjauza, the incident happened right in the chamber on November 16, 2015.
The victim (name withheld) told the Police that Sibale proposed her and she refused.
“The development did not please the suspect who overpowered the victim and started caressing her private parts. He also grabbed her boobs,” he said.
He said the woman was rescued by well-wishers after shouting for help.
Sibale hails from Mtemwamkondo Village in chief Wenya area in Chitipa.
