MUTHARIKA TO PRESIDE OVER ELEVATION OF TRADITIONAL AUTHORITY NGOLONGOLIWA TO POSITION OF SENIOR CHIEF

President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika will on Saturday February 20, 2016 preside over the elevation of Traditional Authority Ngolongoliwa of Thyolo district to the position of Senior Chief.

This has been disclosed in a press statement from the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) signed by Presidential Press Officer Gerald Viola.

According to the statement, Mutharika will arrive at Thyolo Community Center Ground, venue of the ceremony at about 10:30 in the morning.

Chief Ngongoliwa was elevated the position of Senior Chief in December last year and in January health rains disrupted the celebrations.
