Police in Blantyre are yet to trace the whereabouts of a 22 year-old College of Medicine student, Obey Chirwa.
FaceofMalawi understands that Chirwa went missing some three weeks ago.
It is reported that Chirwa, a former student of Mtendere Secondary School in Dedza on March 5 2016 told his room mate that he was going out and promised to return the same night, but he never went back to the college.
CCTV footage shows that Chirwa withdrew money from the ATM in Mangochi, his bank account on March 6 2016.
“Since then, Obey has never gone to any service centre to cash or deposit. His phone, too, is not available, cannot be reached!
“His family has tried to trace him in all possible places but to no avail,” reads the statement in part.
Obey Chirwa’s mother has argued well-wishers who have information regarding his whereabouts report to the nearest police or contact his parents; his mother Agness Chirwa is on 0998270186 while his dad, Lyton Chirwa is on 0888329992.
