Over 20 Malawians stranded in a place called Benoni in South Africa for close to a month after a bus they were traveling in broke down several times arrived in the country on Sunday, thanks to Intercape Bus Company.

The Malawian citizens left Randburg on May 12 and they were expected to be in the country two days later but this was not the case as the South African bus started developing a mechanical fault on their way, forcing them to spend a month on the road.

As this was not enough, a woman identified as Mercy Ndlovu lost one of her twin babies on Thursday last week.

Ndlovu gave birth to twins on Wednesday last week at Benoni and was assisted by paramedics.

Speaking to the press after helping the stranded Malawians, Intercape bus general manager Anthony Shogue said the company stepped in due to the unfriendly environment the group had in South Africa.

He said the company did that for humanity.
