Mulanje South Lawmaker Bon Kalindo has expressed concern over the continued attack on people living with albinism in the country and has vowed to take the issue to the street while naked if Parliament will not bring the capital punishment on the matter.
Kalindo said this on Sunday in ‘Zilipati’ programme aired on MIJ fm hosted by Thomas Kachere.
The highly charged MP said he is deeply concerned with the way the speaker of the National Assembly Richard Msowoya handled the issue when it was brought in the house for discussion.
Kalindo said giving chance to three MPs to speak on the matter was not enough, saying albino killings in the country has reached at crisis level and an immediate solution is needed.
Kalindo who is also a comedian faulted government for sending its team to Tanzania to learn how to deal with the albino killings, saying the move is just a worst of tax-payers money.
He said the only way to deal with the matter is to enforce death penalty.
Meanwhile the court in Mzuzu has granted an injunction restraining withdoctors from operating in the country, accusing them of perpetrating the albino killings.
