Blantyre Magistrate Court has denied bail leader of the Peoples Land Organization (PLO) Vincent Wandale for allegedly mobilizing people to grab land from Tea Estate owners.
Wandale was arrested on Saturday in Lilongwe days after Police used teargas to disperse angry villagers who invaded Conforzi Tea Estate in Thyolo and over 22 people were arrested during the fracas.
He is charged with four counts; Conspiracy to commit a misdemeanour, Unauthorized use of land, Inciting violence and Criminal trespassing.
Wandale has since been remanded at Chichiri Prison.
The case is set to commence on Thursday at Blantyre Magistrate Court.
