Euthini Secondary School students destroy classes over headteacher transfer

Students at Euthini Secondary School in Mzimba district on Friday night went on rampage destroying their classes at the school forcing the authorities to bring back their former head teacher Crescent Kapila who was transferred to one of secondary schools in Karonga two weeks ago.

The Ward Councillor for the area Councillor Annie Nkhata confirmed the incident in an telephone interview to Malawi News Agency(MANA).

“I can confirm that it is true that the students here have really destroyed their classes saying they don’t want the new head teacher,”

However Nkhata could not explain more saying the school committee will be meeting to hear more on the matter.

The new head teacher Mr. Chavula is only two weeks old at the school and came from Chilumba Secondary School in Karonga.
