Man stoned to death after killing a wife, seriously injuring her husband in Blantyre

Angry mob in Manje Township in the commercial capital Blantyre have stoned to death a man suspected to have killed a woman and seriously injured her husband.

Limbe Police Station spokesperson Pedzisai Zembeneko confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the local daily papers in the country [The Nation Newspaper].

According to the paper, the deceased thug on Thursday invaded the house of a couple as visitor ending up murdering the woman of the house.

“A couple in Manje, Blantyre, received a visitor yesterday evening but the visitor ended up murdering the woman of the house and attempts by her husband to stop the murder yielded nothing,” reads in part the story.

According to Zembeneko, the husband then shouted for help from well-wishers who responded positively and apprehended the thug.

The neighbours started assaulting the assailant by hitting his head with stones and he died on the spot.

Meanwhile the husband is admitted at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.
