Man Injures a Lady After She Turned Down His Proposal

25 year old Man has been arrested and charged before a court in Lagos for attacking a woman and causing injury on her head after she refused to be his girlfriend.

Reports says, the victim known as Azeezat Adigun turned down the suspect`s ( Israel Bassey) proposal with a reason that she would not date men whom she stays in the same area with, and she also argued that the man was not of the same background as hers.

Bassy was arrested together with one friend identified as Mercy Edwin, for unknown role she is believed to have played in the incident.

The police said that Bassy brought out a cutlass during a disagreement with Azeezat and inflicted a deep cut on her head that caused her to fell down and was later rushed to the hospital.

The two suspects were charged with assault under the criminal code.

They pleaded guilty.

The presiding magistrate granted them bail in the sum of N50.000.

They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition. The case was adjourned till 13 March.
