Mutharika appoints Dalitso Kabambe as new Reserve Bank Governor

President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has appointed Dr. Dalitso Kabambe as new Reserve Bank Governor replacing Charles Chuka who his term office has expired.

This has been disclosed in a press statement from the office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) signed by Chief Secretary Lloyd Muhara made available to faceofMalawi.

The appointment of Kabambe is with immediate effect.

when asked as to whether he will be given another post in government, Minister of Information and Communications Technology Nicholas Dausi said that will be decided by President Mutharika.

Meanwhile Chuka is yet to comment on the matter.
