American Pop Diva Madonna is in the country on a mission to officially open a new pediatric centre at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre today.
The ward has been named Mercy James Pediatric Centre after the first girl Madonna adopted from Malawi.
The musician jetted into the country on Sunday, July 9 2017.
President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is expected to attend the opening ceremony, according to the press statement from the office of the President and Cabinet made available to faceofmalawi.
According to the statement, the ceremony is expected to start at around 2:30pm.
