Mia to be welcomed to MCP on Saturday

The rumour that Sidik Mia joins Malawi Congress Party (MCP)  is likely going to be unfolded this coming Saturday when MCP President  Lazarus Chakwera is expected to visit Chikwawa on political rally to welcome him.

The former cabinet minister Mia’s rumour to join MCP came clear last year, perhaps in September after southern region chairman Peter Simbi welcomed him and sat next to each other at a function where Chikhwawa south MP Elias Karim, was launching a K3.5 million sports trophy.

From there, Mia  has been reported to say that he is free to go back into politics, and join any party of his interest.

“I am free to go back to politics,” Mia quoted with Faceofmalawi.com

It is now clear that MCP is about to win him, and on this Saturday all dusts will settle, no more confusion will remain, Chakwera has taken the political rally to Mia’s home.

Meanwhile, several political commentators are praising MCP move of winning Mia, as it is going to increase the party’ chances of dislodging the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)  in the forthcoming 2019 elections.
