Information sourced by faceofmalawi indicates that the body of late father Andrew Nkhata who until his death was Vicar General of the Diocese of Mangochi will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
Father Nkhata died in the early hours of Tuesday after being involved in fatal road accident at place called Namiyasi in Mangochi.
According to a statement released few minutes ago, the body of Father Nkhata will be taken from Mangochi District Hospital mortuary to Koche-Maldeco Parish.
“Dear all. As earlier announced about the death of Fr Andrew Nkhata. The following is the full program and burial ceremonies: Today 8th August 2017, the body will leave Mangochi District Hospital mortuary to Koche-Maldeco Parish at 2:30pm and mass will be at 3pm. Thereafter the body will be taken
to St Augustine cathedral and mass will be at 5:30pm.
“Burial will take place on Wednesday 9th August 2017. Mass 10am at St Augustine cathedral. Thereafter the body will be taken to St Paul Seminary cemetery for burial,” reads in part the statement.
Faceofmalawi joins all Catholics across the country in mourning Father Nkhata.
