Police in Lilongwe are on search for a 35-year-old man identified as Arthur Mdala who on Saturday murdered his ex-girlfriend in Chilinde, Lilongwe.
The victim has been identified as Mirrium Siula who was working at Victoria Forex Bureau.
According to the reports, the suspect had agreed to meet with the deceased woman at her house.
While he arrived at woman`s premises, he was invited to enter the house but he insisted to stay outside.
He then asked the victim to go and fetch drinking water for him but upon coming back, the suspect brought out a sharp knife which he used to stab the woman on the forehead and the chest.
He fled after stabbing the woman and a time later the woman had breathed her last upon arriving at Kamuzu Central Hospital.
The deceased woman was from Yotamu village in the area of Traditional Authority Mtwalo in Mzimba.
