Church service nearly came to a halt at Katondo CCAP Church in the capital Lilongwe following the decision some members especially praise team members who wanted the stop the holy communion service.
The praise team members were not happy with the Church Session Clerk a Mr. Matope, accusing him of holding grudges.
The fact of the matter is that, earlier this month the church clerk suspended 15 praise team members over indiscipline.
In retaliation, the praise team members confiscated the musical equipment belonging to the Church, saying they bought the equipment using their own money.
The development forced the Session Clerk a Mr. Matope to drag the praise to Members to police.
The move did not please some of the members of the praise team who ganged up on Sunday to disrupt the church service.
Meanwhile the 15 praise team members are in police.
