DPP organizes street sweeping exercise to foil demonstrations in Mzuzu

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) supporters have organized a street sweeping exercise with an aim of obstructing the protest organized by Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in Mzuzu.

According to information at hand, the route taken by DPP supporters is the same route that the protestors are about to take.

In Mzuzu, the protest will start from Mzuzu upper Stadium and the demonstrations are yet to commence.

Meanwhile in Zomba and Blantyre the demonstrations are underway with tight security, according to our reporter covering the demonstrations.
