Suspect in “Albino Murder Case” Accuses Police of Shielding Other Suspects

The Albino murder suspect in the murder case of a young man, McDonald Masambuka, Alfred Yohane, has expressed dissatisfaction over the way the police are handling the case.

Yohane was speaking on Monday in court where he observed that some names who he mentioned previously as accomplices in the murder case are still not arrested.

“I’m not happy with how the police are handling the case, they are shielding some names which I mentioned previously in court as suspects.” He said.

Yohane said the case is not doing well because the police are protecting some suspects.

“I wish the case was handled professionally not having this shield these police officers are doing to some suspects in the case”, he said.

On his part, Eastern Region Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector Joseph Sauka, said he can not comment on the issue which is in court.

“That’s how he sees it, I can’t comment of that as the case is in court and Mr. Yohane said that in court”, said Sauka.

MacDonald Masambuka an albino person, was brutally murdered on Friday, March 9, this year.

The case has brought over 15 suspects including a police officer, a medical practitioner, a Catholic priest among other suspects.
