Stolen vehicle recovered in Nkhata-Bay

Police in the Northern District of Nkhata-Bay have recovered a vehicle registration number BV5033 stolen in Ntcheu on October 12, 2018.

Police officials have confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi reporter.

According to the statement, Lilongwe Anti Motor vehicle Theft Unit Team under the Leadership of Superintendent Mwamande recovered the stolen vehicle at Tukombo Trading Centre in Nkhata-Bay.

The police have also arrested the suspect identified as Happy Mickson Temboh who hails from Ndawala Village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Santhe in Kasungu.

The suspect is said to have been hiding at Matiki near Dwangwa Trading Centre.

“Investigations are still in progress and we are likely to affect more arrests on this,” reads in part the police report.

Meanwhile the suspect will appear in court soon.
