CSOs obtain court injunction against tabling of controversial NGO bill

Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) have obtained an injunction restraining the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government from tabling the controversial NGO bill in the National Assembly, faceofmalawi can reveal.

The Injunction was obtained by Charles Kajoloweka of Youth and Society and its partners on Monday.

The CSOs argue that the bill needs review as it allegedly containing what they call “draconian provisions” feared meant to suffocate NGOs in the country.
