President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has pardon 197 prisoners as part Easter Celebrations, faceofmalawi can reveal.

This has been disclosed in a press statement from the Ministry of Homeland Security signed by Samuel Madula made available to faceofmalawi reporter.

“The Ministry of Homeland Security wishes to inform the general public that it has pleased President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika of the Republic of Malawi to Pardon 197 prisoners as part of Easter Celebrations.

“The prisoners who have been pardoned are those who have are changed with minor offences and have demonstrated good behavioral reform,” reads in part the statement.

He added: “The Pardon by His Excellency the President is sign of forgiveness during this year’s Easter holiday.”
