‘Ndikunyenyani on May 21’ says Mutharika

President Peter Mutharika said he is confident of carrying the day on May 21 as he will continue ruling the country.

Mutharika made the remarks during the official opening of a 75- kilometer Liwonde-Mangochi road on Wednesday at Mangochi stadium.

In his remarks Mutharika said the opposition has always faulted his leadership and failed to provide with solutions when asked to.

“They have been saying this country is going towards a wrong direction and I have always challenged them to show me the right direction nobody has done,” Mutharika said.

He added that the opposition is good at sleeping hence dreaming of his death always.

He then challenged them that they will be the ones to die on May 21 since ‘akawanyenyenya’ (he will slice them) at the ballot.

“What the opposition is good at is sleeping, that is they always dream about my death. But it’s the opposition who are going to die on May 21 because ‘Ndiwanyenyanyenya’ on the ballot,” warned Mutharika

Mutharika continued saying that his government has done a lot in as far as developing the country is concerned.

He added that come July 2019 his government will continue implementing infrastructure development across the country.

Mutharika therefore urged people to vote wisely in the forthcoming elections by voting for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leaders.

“I am pleading with you, don’t ever make a mistake of voting for the opposition parties into power you will suffer and cry for rest of the next five years,” he said.

Malawians are expected to cast their votes on May 21.
