Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president Lazarus Chakwera has warned against attempts to rig the elections.
Chakwera made the remarks on Wednesday during a press briefing he conducted at his house in Namiwawa.
In his remarks Chakwera said that he is aware that those in power are trying to tamper with the elections.
“Those in power, I know you, you are trying to tamper with elections,” Chakwera said.
He further continued that no one is going to prevail in tampering with the elections as his party is closely monitoring the whole process.
“MCP is conducting its own count, No one is going to rig this elections. Justice is going to prevail,” Assured Chakwera.
Chakwera is currently leading in 35 percent of votes counted by the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC). g.i �����
